Who knows mate? an S-Bahn (every 20 minutes) on some routes is ok though
Aye, even in a state of chaos, German transport is probably more reliable than ours

The only thing with German transport is it's so good. When you have to wait for than 4 minutes you tend to do your nut :D

In the UK you're laughing your head off it arrives in the same day ;)
Anything is better than what we have here in Southern California (Los Angeles and Orange County). ANYTHING!! We have got to have the worst transportation in the world. Well, maybe North Korea. But they have hardly no transpotation at all. I thought London and NYC and Tokyo has the best. At least Tokyo subways are always on time. And all 3 places the subways take you to the exact place you want to go.

Thanks for the link for the S-bahn page Andy. Cheers.

S-Bahn runs almost normally now.

Most trains are fixed.

Here are some very well made impressions of the Berlin S-Bahns and U-Bahns:

Thanks for the info on the U-Bahn. With Marilyn having to use a stick I was dreading all the walking. Hopefully they'll sort out the problems by end of next week. We'll probably be knackered from seeing the city sights the day before the concert - Reichstag - Dunkelbeer - Berlin Wall - Dunkelbeer - more dunkelbeer. Am really looking forward to this trip and lots of dunkelbeer!!

The following link shows the Berlin S-Bahn and U-Bahn net (click "Öffnen" when the dialogue opens):

http://www.bvg.de/index.php/de/Common/D ... file/id/68

The easiest way to get to the Zitadelle is to take the U7. It's an U-bahn line that runs from Spandau in the west to Rudow in the south and reverse. On the map it's drawn as a pale blue line.

You can see the station "Zitadelle" on the far left side of the map.

Next to it you find the stations "Altstadt Spandau" and "Haselhorst".
