BERLIN 2009 HOTEL'S - "ROCKING OUT THE BATS"

Post by tdream4ever »

I thought I'd start this thread on Hotel's for the TD Open Air event on Aug 30, 2009.
If we can get enough TD fans together for a group rate for rooms at a hotel in Berlin, this might cut the cost down a little. I have'nt been to Berlin since 1990. If anybody is going to the show who lives in Berlin or Germany could look into hotels, location to the event, etc.(see if they offer group rates). What do you all think? :?: :?: :?:
And of course. . . .a pub for a pre-concert TD fan meet.
I will be searchin the www for hotels from this side of the Pond.

Flights booked (getting in at 09:10 on the Saturday so that I can have a look around Berlin, leaving late on the Monday)

Am mostly excited*

* Even though I'm a big girl when travelling alone abroad.

I'm staying in the Kaulsdorf area in East Berlin as I remember it a quiet pleasant area when I stayed there for the Paradiso gig. However, It seems a nightmare trying to plan a smooth route home after the gig back to the hotel. I'll be ok as long as the concert doesn't drag to late or if there is a fan meet and greet I hope it's before the concert. I'm looking forward to the concert above all else, as I am staying in Berlin, returning to Ireland by train, via Frankfurt(3 days) Paris -straight through then London for3-4 days
