And BTW, I share your placement of RFH at the bottom of the list.

I remember the pre-concert fan meet in the hours prior to it. That was certainly the highlight of the evening for me! (hung with the Heiko's, Colin, Billythefish and a few others).

Andy, did we perchance meet then? (And can anyone fill in the blanks who was there?)

I was also at the 2001 SBE show but didn't rendezvous with anyone.

doubt it mate....I only knew one person and that was my mate I came along with, plus I caught Chris Owen for a few minutes before the concert

I've got a very short clip of the bar area...I'll have to post it here:

mind the racket in the background....the DJ called it music (Btw this only covers about half the bar area):

Music
Selection of Tracks
Comfort of the Venue

Fan meet
After Show meet
Merch Stall selection and availability

gonna have to see which one comes out on top now :)

the Dominion scored 60 out of 90

hmmm...according to my scale the Zitadelle scores more highly than the Dominion at 61!
As far as the comfort category... I recall the '88 show in Boston/Sommerville... I dragged a few friends along that had never heard of them. When I got my seat in the first row of the balcony (by choice, mind you), I quickly discovered that it was positioned DIRECTLY behind a huge spotlight.

So I stood up and literally picked my friend up by the shoulders and dropped him into my seat (heck, I probably paid for his ticket anyway)!

Most comfortable - front row balcony of the '86 Providence show.

Least comfortable - SBE '01. Standing at stage front with my feet aching beyond belief.

I believe the fan meet was at a place called "A Call to Arms" or something like that.

And yes, the RFH bar area was quite nice. Big - and they had some nice limited prints of Bianca's work for sale as well (and after the show, we hung w/ Jerome. Edgar was busy with the press at the time.)

the Astoria 03 was the last gig my back told me (standing wise) luckily Colin told me to lean on the barrier in Edinburgh last year and it was brilliant...really got into the music.

Bigm00g's favourite tangerine dream concert:

the next one.

RFH2004 was memorable, for meeting Jimmy Somerville in the restaurant before the gig and her indoors complaining.

Question is...was I standing at the time?? 40 seems a tad high on reflection.

If I ever get the time, I shall try to recall my attendance record. Sadly, having the worst memory in Christendom doesn't help

Had to c.h.e.a.t. a bit by looking up old tour dates, but as you will expect, rather less than 40  !! There may be a few more than this, but this is the best I can recall:

1981 Glasgow Apollo
1982 Glasgow Apollo
1986 Edinburgh Playhouse
1986 Bradford St George's Hall
1986 Harrogate
1986 ( I think) Preston
1990 Edinburgh Playhouse
1990 Hammersmith Odeon
1996 London Shepherd's Bush Empire
1997 Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
2001 London Shepherd's Bush Empire
2003 London Astoria
2004 London Royal Festival Hall
2005 London Shepherd's Bush Empire
2006 Berlin Tempodrom
2007 London Astoria
2007 Frankfurt Alte Oper
2008 Eindhoven Tu
2008 Edinburgh Picture House
2009 Berlin Zitadel

ps - whilst looking through some old tour programmes, I found an Owners Manual for a Roland JX-3P. If anyone wants it (free) send me a message.

pps - also found this snippet about The Sisters Of Mercy pre concert music from 1999:
