Paradiso cd errors

Post by xsaram3 »

Have just bought Paradiso double cd (Eastgate EGVP101Cd)

When played on regular audio cd player i have only 7 tracks on cd1 and 8 on cd2.

But worse the track titles load into iTunes the wrong way round
(this is hard to explain! but bear with me)

track list for disc 1 lists
1 - "La Forza del Saturno" thru to 7 - "Leaving"
but plays as
1 - "La Grande Spirale" thru to 7 - "Invisible Sun"
(I think, I downloaded the "Dante Songs" so recognise some of the tracks )

Track list for disc 2 is the same ie only 7 tracks :? :?
but it plays 8 tracks on audio cd!
as far as i can tell the track list is correct but is the "extra" track on disc 2 "Jupiter Lightning"?

Hope this is not toooo confusing but just wondered if anyone else has this issue/

Maybe i have a unique cd!

Maybe it will be worth loads on ebay

anyone who can shed light on this will be forever in my thanks :D

sorry to disappoint you, but it's not unique as every copy appears to be like this. In my opinion, one track is missing an index point, which would turn it into 2 tracks, which explains one discrepancy. Also, there was a track played at the live performances, which acts as a bridge between CD1 and CD2, but it does NOT appear on the CD. This is a huge shame as it was the best track of the live shows by far. This might explain the other track listing mistake. Either way, just sit back, play the CD and don't worry about it too much. :D

As far as I know a lot of the tracks are titled wrong as well. It is a bit confusing . These mistakes happen a tad too often and not just with TD albums.

excactement... wasn't it Schnitzler, who said he didn't like song titles? I agree! That's why I looked on the back of my disc man, and said: "my tracks are going to be called a pleine puissance, l'ecoute prolongée du baladeur peut endommager l'oreille de l'utilisateur 1-12"

I remember Peter Baumann saying in a mid-70's interview that he'd be very happy to simply call tracks things like '1976 piece 1, etc' and not use proper track names at all.
