It's a Jarre release....

It will I guess be on his new collaborations album on CD

Does anyone know if the dvd's selling on Ebay are genuine?? I am reluctant to buy a copy for obvious reasons - I think the artist should get their just desserts - but I saw 'One Night in Space' for £3.99 - Epsilon Journey' same price (or cheaper) however, the cover is ever so slightly different in that the text is placed differently to the Eastgate version. However it does say 'new and sealed'. Anybody have info on this matter??

Well, it LOOKS good enough (it's the Membran digipack) but the price does seem too low.
maybe the guy bought a job-lot ?

Can't help much I'm afraid :(

Hi ant,

Edgar and Jarre met last summer - so their cooperation took place before Edgar's passing.....

EB

:) Thanks EB for your reply. I thought it probably was but I don't remember hearing anything about it last year - unless I just missed it. :)

Just received an email saying that JMJ has just approved the pressing quality etc. for this record which has meant that the release date has been put back to 30th June.

Very nice.

Is it just my imagination or did Edgar mention JMJ in a not too positive way quite a few years ago?

Hello,

here's an interview with Edgar (in German), conducted last year, just before the concert in Offenbach. Edgar speaks about the collaboration and Jean Michel in general and about many other interesting things:

You can also find some concert pictures.

I had hoped to get the EP as a download on Amazon or somewhere but no joy. Surprised it's not here.

I remember that too. He also said some unpleasant things about Baumann in 1983 and later must have changed his opinion. But I don't see much of a problem with that - Edgar was human, not a saint. I just wish he'd have been more open to collaborations of the JMJ kind some decades earlier. His standard reply to such suggestion at that time went something like "Not possible, our tech setup is too effing difficult for having guest musicians!" Hmm.
