I'm having the album for a week, now. The original also was one of my TD favorites. But I'm not that enthusiastic about the rework. The straight drums on Search don't fit, IMO. And the overall sound is too digital, compared with the original. But nonetheless, Sorcerer still is a great album.
CD2 is absolutely brilliant and one of the best TD releases of the last years 8)

Agreed, cd2 is the finest tangmusic in years

If cd 1 had a little analogue space and air, it would be a complete masterpiece.

As it stand, i remain, very impressed with wages of, er , sorcerer 2014

:( Still waiting for mine. 95% were sent on the 16th April but I was not one of them. I think mine was sent on 23rd so hopefully I will get it next week. Can't wait as it sounds like a brilliant release. :D

Cool release. I thought GTA V was going to be the most interesting of the recent releases but this probably tops it. Great stuff.

I ordered Sorcerer 2014 and Chandra II on April 10th. Yesterday, I finally received the two CD plus a postcard of Chandra II. Since I saw that some French fans received their package last week, I was afraid that the postal services lost the parcel. Fortunately, it wasn't the case. And now, I'm very happy because Chandra II is good, and Sorcerer 2014 is excellent. :)

Received my Sorcerer 2014. Have to confess to feeling a bit emotional whilst listening to this, it really is that good. Wonderful new interpretation of a classic TD album.

Just listening to the second disc now. This really is excellent also.

Congratulations to Edgar and Tangerine Dream on this great work.

I guess I will have to get this sooner rather than later. The original was my first TD LP back in the 70's. I had no idea how big an impact TD would have on my life before then!

I just finished my first listen. This album is a marvel of reunion between the sounds of the past and present, Edgar has found the perfect mix!
