I received my copy today. I'm listening right now to CD2 "Rain And Thunder". A thrilling release indeed. 8)
was ripping the CDs to mp3s so I can listen to the new album tomorrow on the way to work.

Absolutely the best re-recording of a classic album TD made until today.
The deep atmosphere of the origin tracks have been saved, some tracks are well elaborated.
The new tracks are close to the original ones and (thanks to ZEST) I made a playlist in my WMP
with the order of the Copenhagen Concert, really amazing.
What a pity, that the original tape is lost, but TD did the best of the situation.

:D Got my copy last Tuesday and have now listened to it twice - WOW what a classic 2cd set this is. Love the re-working of the original tracks and cd2 is just stunning. More please Edgar/TD. I love most of TD's releases over the last 44 years but this is the most exciting in some time. I just hope Edgar and co. produce more in this style as it is TD at their best. Absolutely wonderful. The legend that is EF has amazed, delighted and inspired me over all these years and still manages to do it now in 2014. Can't wait for the London gig in 20 days time. Well done Edgar and all involved - TD still rule!! :D

Anyone know if there is to be a region2/Europe release of the film blu ray, and importantly when ? Information appears decidedly absent on this. Hope it's not just a US/Region1 release.

I've played this twice and it looks and sounds fantastic. The image is so sharp you can read the make of tyres on the trucks! although some have moaned about the colours being too vivid. NB the Blu Ray is REGION FREE and will play on most BR drives, or BR players. I have tested this on my SAMSUNG laptop and SONY Blu Ray player and both can play the disc.
The only down side is there isn't a single extra on the disc - nothing. The 40 page book is solid, although it basically repeats the same story from FRIEDKIN's autobiography. Edgar and TD are mentioned on two pages in the book, but there's no photo of the band (nice stills from the movie though).

A WARNING: the DVD release was totally messed up (Bill only did the BR) and has been withdrawn. Friedkin will produce a new version from the same source as the BR - release date sometime in JUNE 2014.

Hi, thanks for the information. I had heard that the DVD release was a botched job. I don't have a Blu-Ray player so I'll have to wait for the corrected DVD release. I saw the film a few years ago on the previous DVD version so I'm looking forward to the remaster. It's a great film with no crappy CGI!

Thanks for the information Axel and 24db.

I have ordered from Amazon. This is going to be one of the most anticipated TD/film moments, ever, for me.

I totally agree, TD at their finest. Best thing in years, took me right back to where I fell in in love with the Dream.
