'Tangerine Dream - The Virgin Years [1977-1983]' is the follow up to last years
'Tangerine Dream - The Virgin Years: 1974-1978]'
Starting with the 'live' album: 'Encore' (1977), the album was recorded on their
American tour with the line-up of: Chris Franke, Peter Baumann and Edgar Froese,
followed by the single: 'Monolight' b/w 'Hobo March', available on CD for the
first time!

Froese, recorded at Hansa Studios in Berlin. The bands fourth biggest selling
studio album, 'Force Majeure' reached number 26 in the UK album chart.
For 'Tangram' (1980) The band were joined by Johannes Schmoelling. The album
comprises of two lengthy, 20-minute pieces and became their fifth biggest
selling album (charting at number 36 in the UK album chart.
The fist track on 'Exit' (1981) is: 'Kiew Mission' and it features a female
voice chanting in Russian, set with the backdrop of the Cold War era. The voice
chants the names of the world's continents, pleading to end the threat of
nuclear war. 'Exit' charted at number 43 in the UK album chart. The album is now
complemented by 2 Bonus Tracks.
'White Eagle' (1982) charted at number 57 in the UK album chart. It also had
great success in Germany where a remix of the title track became theme music for
the German TV Series: 'Tatort'
'Logos' (1982) 'live' is a two-part album - 50 minutes taken from the 2-hour
concert recorded at London's Dominion theatre in November 1982.
'Hyperborea' (1983) completes this seven-album collection (on five discs). It
charted at number 45 in the UK. The album title refers to an idyllic land in

Yes you'll have them all already, but again it's a nice repackaging at a decent
price.

with manufacturing CDs being so cheap (see the 10-cd membran box for 10 euros as an example), why split logos over 2 CDs?

I guess to keep everything in chronological order.

Plus, Logos was originally in 2 parts anyway, on vinyl....

I think this is a no-go and a sacrilege to split the songs of a single album over two discs. I love the Logos remaster, because, for the first time, you hear Logos as a single track with the two parts fading into the other, like it was played in the concerts. Now you have the two parts separated, again. The same splitting happens to the Edgar Froese box. I will not buy this.
