...just read a favorable review of this sampler in german magazine Musikexpress :

The title, of course, is the german translation for Tangerine Dream.
The sampler aims to give an overview on how East German musicians interpreted the musical style of Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Klaus Schulze etc. in the 1980s
Anybody bought it yet? Sounds tempting...

It's not really necessary to have this CD. I don't have it but I heard almost all tracks in the past or I still have them on vinyl or CDR. It's music between Electronic Pop (Key, Servi), and tries to copy the musical idols (Pond: JMJarre; Reinhard Lakomy: TD; Julius Krebs: TD, Steve Hackett) - nothing important imo.

Pond was the support for the Orange Odyssey concert in 2007 btw.

Not much interest to your average TD fan, bar the title I would have thought.

Save yer money, plenty of TD stuff coming up!

Reinhard Lakomy was close friends with Edgar!
He had the offer to become a member of Tangerine Dream (Pre Schmoelling).
However, he remained in East Germany and produced some LPs.

I've never heard this and I also don't believe it.

I have one of his LP's on the Amiga-label called "Das geheime Leben" from 1981. Have not listened to it in a long time - might put it on later tonight...

Yes, it's true.
I've read the Book Lakomy wrote ("Es war doch nicht das letzte Mal"). There's a whole chapter about TD and his friendship with Edgar.
He helped to get TD to the play live at the Palast der Republik and he was offered to be the replacement for Peter Baumann, but he wanted to remain in East Germany. He also purchased Edgar's Moog and a Prophet 5 in 1980.

It took me a mere 4 and a half years to actually get this Album...
Listening to it now and find it quite fascinating - definitely some TD influences here.
Only downside is that at least some track seem to be Vinyl rips
