I remember buying my copy in a record shop in West Hampstead, London (West end lane?) where I was working at the time (the area...not the record shop!)...and initially not being that impressed with it...the rather sparce/glacial arrangements etc etc didn't grab me as much as Exit and Thief (both of which I thought were 'the best music' mankind had ever made (well...I was young!). However not long after I started to love it and these days I think it's one of the very best albums from TD. Stand out moments include the PPG shrieks at the start of Mojave Plan, the 5/4 feel of the main rhythm, the great chords (played in unison by the group?), Johannes' ? solos....and the best two drum hits in EM history from Christoph (percussion King more like!). You can also add the way the piece is built up again, the ballsy way it morphs into another section and the huge orchestra...TAPE sample on the end ...and that's just the first bleeding track!
Btw the title has probably nothing to do with White Eagles, at least of the 'naturally' feathered kind
