I could wear my Tangerine Dream cocktail dress and Tangerine Dream stiletto shoes whilst munching on my Tangerine Dream bubble-gum.

I have a query regarding the release of soundtracks.

I was listening to JS Early Beginnings and there are tracks from TD movies on there how come JS is not covered by the same restrictions as TD ?

Any ideas

I wondered the exact same thing upon first listen (but was too lazy to ask here). :-)

If TD can't work around it, hopefully Johannes will continue to do so!

Perhaps Johannes is still in possession of his own master tapes...

That's the whole thing with TD, I think that some fans think (and I'm referring to the 80's) that each member of the band turned up at thier (monthly?) meet ups in Berlin and had completed tracks with them. Personally I think they sometimes had a few ideas, FX or processes they'd been working on seperately and then everyone gave their input or ideas and then the band then worked on the track together or the member went off and worked up the ideas into the finished article.

I seem to remember Johannes saying that all he has are his working tapes, rough sketches perhaps? nothing like a full archive of TD material. Pity really

Not sure if The Solder track from his album can be considered a sketch considering a side-by-side comparison to the track in the film itself is an exact match.

Perhaps Conrad could look into this... (and while he's at it, find out if there's more out there to be released).

I always thought that the music in The Soldier sounded like demo stuff myself. It's not the usual polished product that you expect from TD.
