Re: GTA V

Found this: http://www.polygon.com/2013/10/3/4795292/the-accidental-excellence-of-gta-5s-soundscape Nice pics :-) Very interesting ! They describe precisely how the GTA V score was composed and how the result is "magically good"... 8) It seems Edgar was really a crucial composer... "...

Well, that's interesting: "Note: This event will be videotaped." Maybe released on DVD later?

After listening to the whole album (including the bonus disc), I must say, that Shadowlands is one of the best and most intense albums that Klaus Schulze ever made. There are no heavy sequences and only some smooth rhythms, but the multi-layered sounds and voices create a hypnotic atmosphere of it's...

Got Shadowlands today. I'm just listening to the first track "Shadowlights". AMAZING!!! OK, it's Schulze. But a very nice composition with violin and voices. The vocals are by Lisa Gerrard, Chrysta Bell, and Julia Messenger. Voilin, flute, and voice are by Thomas Kagermann.

Wadephul has a new version of Sun Gate on the recent Manikin compilation CD, so it seems like he has total copyright control over that track... The liner notes of the compilation say: 4) W.A.dePHUL - Sun Gate 05:24 Composed by Wadephul, Haslinger & Froese. Recorded live by Ralf Wadephul & f...

Just measure the running time of the tracks. At 45 rpm the times are correct.
Das Mädchen auf der Treppe 3:50
Flock 2:28
Katja 3:01
Speed 2:37

Hi,
the disk is running at 45rpm. On the right side of the label is printed "33 RPM" . But on the left is printed (ST)(45), what means: stereo at 45 rpm. I own this record, so I'm sure that it is running at 45.

The Lisbon dvd is the one to get IMO.. :D It just took me 3 days to get through this one. I guess, owen will be bored to death by the Lisbon concert. Nothing really happens throughout the three hours. The musicians perfectly played one song after the other, without a real dramaturgy. After one hour...

Listened to MP this afternoon. Maybe my expectations were too high, so I'm a bit disappointed. Reading the description, I expected something very special and intimate. But MP sounds like a typical EF/TD release. Not bad, but nothing special :(

with manufacturing CDs being so cheap (see the 10-cd membran box for 10 euros as an example), why split logos over 2 CDs? I guess to keep everything in chronological order. Plus, Logos was originally in 2 parts anyway, on vinyl.... I think this is a no-go and a sacrilege to split the songs of a sin...

Hi,
got my copy today and agree to the previous posts. FW is the best album that TD released this year, IMO.

Hi,
I got Time and Tide today and just listened to it two times. It really is a wonderful album. Quite smooth, relaxed, and harmonic, not very experimental, but very nice :D Many sounds remind me of the Logos era.

I just got an email from Shperic Music where the DVD "Das verbotene Spiel" is listed. The DVD with the children's TV series came out in 2010. Does anyone know if the series or the music by EF is worth getting the disc?
