Re: Danny Baker Just plugged TD and Ricochet

Wow, this is news to me. Danny Baker's first fame came from covering the punk rock era, as he recalled in an episode of Room 101 which I watched recently on the Dave channel. It has long been unfashionable for celebs to admit to liking prog rock, so one wonders how many notables are also closet fans...

Re: Jerome

Valid points, rigel. Let's hope you're right about the lost in translation part. After all, Loom and EF were pictured together as late as this year. Still some of Jerome's comments seem strange. I will give the new EP a fair chance. The album with TD tracks will surely be nice. But it was only yest...

Re: Johannes Schmoelling

youre very welcome and it is an amazing Website indeed. Actually, it took me a while to comprehend the scope as well - besides all the great Information, the cross-linking of the various Versions of the Songs must be a Major headache... The website is obviously a labour of love and yes, I can well ...

Re: Johannes Schmoelling

Regarding Matjora - As always, all the answers are here: http://www.voices-in-the-net.de/wuivend_riet.htm I always find it hard to comprehend how People here can not be Aware of this page Thanks from me also :D That clears up a long standing mystery for me. I am aware of the Voices in the Net websi...

Re: Jerome

There is apparently some bad feeling there between Jerome Froese and his father and the former's thoughts on the band now may not tally with what many think. But I would point out that back in 2010 Jerome and Edgar teamed up to produce the Dream Mixes V album, which I for one enjoyed very much. I th...

Re: Johannes Schmoelling

Does anyone know who Matjora is/was from Wuivent Riet? I've just listened to this fantastic track, pure understated genius and possibly the finest thing Schmoelling has done. I've often wondered about this myself. My guess is the name Matjora might be from a theatrical play, as Schmoelling did prov...

Now that would be special. Haslinger back in the TD mix. Well, why not?

Re: TDs "last chapter": The Quantum Years

A lot of speculation here as to what the final "Quantum" period will entail (both musically and in terms of which individuals will be involved) and understandably so. Thorsten and Linda both play synths on stage with TD, so they will not necessarily be out of a future band line up, no? Be ...

Re: Sphinx Lightning

No, you're not the only fan of this track, I can assure you. Nice write up. I think the Hyperborea album on the whole is very special, although chronologically it does sit between two live album masterpieces, Logos and Poland. Actually I always think of this track under its slightly different origin...

Re: The Keep on Film 4

Just a follow up to this...did anyone else notice that the version of THE KEEP shown on Film Four a couple of months ago was edited? I noticed two scenes that were subtly tampered with: The first is the part immediately after the second treasure-hunting sentry on night duty pulls back the body of hi...

Jerome modelling for EXIT

In case anyone missed them, hop over to Facebook and you'll see that Jerome Froese has posted two old photos of himself being face painted before the photo shoot for the EXIT album cover. Very cool to see these :)
