I mean this in the nicest possible way, but you’re in danger here of reopening the debate about how TD’s live performances are performed/presented. A topic which is highly sensitive, contentious and liable to censorship on this forum.

Any news from Michael yet? I'm really looking forward to his answers.

Unless you count the editing out of the "Play your synthesizers" shout from the audience before 'Dominion' in the same way as the hand clap at the start of 'Ricochet Part 2' was cut out.

I wonder if Peter Baumann ever gets stopped in the street and congratulated for Tangram, Thief and Exit?

getting the names of the members of the group wrong is an insult (Would they do this on a Beatles or Rolling Stones album?). I seem to remember Johannes being surprised about this with Conrad interviewed him several years back (his credit going to Peter Baumann I seem to remember). I think Johannes...

I browsed through the TD section in HMV, Oxford Street, London last week and noticed that the Virgin 'Definitive Editions' still have all the printing errors 15 years after release. Unbelievable! They either pressed an incredibly huge number, sales have been low or they've re-printed them without co...

Here's a link to the audio clips on David Minasian's website. There's a typical Andy Latimer solo on Masquerade Part 2.

When I helped the TD road crew at Ipswich Gaumont in 1980, one of the tasks I had was to place the trident on top of Franke's modular system. I was expecting it to be a solid, heavy object made of wood or something precious. I was surprised to find it was a battered, hollow piece of plastic. When th...

Getting back to the music as it appears on Logos (the sequence that starts around the 8 minute mark), does anyone know for sure which band member was playing the central (Moog?) melody over the basic chords? I have always pictured Schmoelling as contributing that part, but could of course be wrong ...

My guess is that it was the British music paper 'New Musical Express' that started referring to them as 'The Tangs' around the time of 'Rubycon'. This was picked up by Virgin and used extensively in the ad campaign for 'Ricochet' with music paper 'Sounds' also jumping on 'The Tangs' bandwagon. To th...

I remember that a friend of mine let me hear that one about 20 years ago and we came to the conclusion then that it is a bit plagiarism. But who was first????? Don't know. 'Music for 18 Musicians' was written 1974-76, so it is well before 'Risky Business' and 'Love on a Real Train'. I'm listening t...

brilliant! :) his kit was see-thru wasn't it?
From what I remember it was translucent. Custom built.
