DAB was a revelation for me - It may be poorer in theory but I live in an area with truly dreadful radio reception & FM is far to noisy for anything much more than the news, whilst DAB signals, although sometimes a bit flakey, are far cleaner overall. :)

Think I'm going to give my copies a spin tonight. Despite them being about my favourite (& first) TD solos, I've not listened to either in a very long time.

Suppose that says something about the convenience-creep of CDs?

Will probaly not be giving Repeat Repeat a spin tho.

Re: Cancelled UK 1979? tour

Nuts, we missed out on a complete UK tour!, 'if' I'm reading this correctly: http://the-archive-plus.blogspot.com/2008/11/cancelled-1979-uk-tour.html I can never read your blogs but I do remember getting a flyer from Virgin around that time referring to gigs that never happened. Don't know if this ...

IIRC, lots of authorities have extra licencing/H&S requirements for laser shows (& pyrothecnics etc) that probably make compliance a bit of an extra headache for a touring band. Think most were framed back in the early days of the technology when nobody knew much about them & the real ri...

I think the real trick is to use a camera lens with a fairly big aperture (ie a low f number - in Andy's case 1.8). I'm also interested to see that he underexposes his images, the temptation in low light levels is to go the other way. Yup. I usually take one of my old bright manual lenses & gue...

Excellent Andy - My money would be on Vic Galloway as the most likely but I had wondered about Mary Anne Kennedy (although her shows are in intermittent bursts) - Madcap's would have been right up her street &/or Iain Anderson, whose remit is more ecclectic & has been playing a fair bit of ...
