I remember buying a sweatshirt on the 1982 tour (grey with small White Eagle triangle design). Ended up using it as a goalkeeper's jersey.

Re: VINTAGE TOUR TSHIRTS

Saw TD at Royal Albert Hall ('75 and '76) and Croydon ('75 and '76). Didn't see any t-shirts for those tours. The Cyclone tour ('78) was the first t-shirt I bought followed by '80, '81 and '86' UK tour t-shirts. Don't recall t-shirt being available for '82 UK tour. Still have the 1986 tour t-shirt i...

Invisible Limits - Nick Mason mix

I think TD did the right thing in leaving out the repeating, echoed snare drum.

I've generally found that people who dislike 'The Final Cut' do so because they disagree with Roger Waters' political views, but they don't openly admit it.

Is this the only concert where TD used a quad P.A.? Or were any of the cathedral dates quad? If so, I wonder why they went back to just using stereo P.A.'s?

Just listened to the first disc of the RAH'75......boy was that good. Possibly one of the best ever TD gigs ? Anybody that posts on the forum at that ? Bound to be folk that look in on here that were at that gig. I was there, perched high up in the 50p seats looking down over Michael Hoenig. A magi...

It wouldn't be a very worthy autobiography if he didn't mention by name his main musical partner for 17 years somewhere in 500 pages.

If the artist believes they can produce their best work exploring more parameters than can be manipulated in real time then they may well chose to discard improvisation as a technique. I can see your point and it's a valid one. Clearly in the example you give above, the main creative process would ...

In the interview Edgar seems to be saying that live improvisation is no longer feasible because of new technology. Infact, new technology gives even greater freedom. It's entirely up to the artist how much they wish to pre-programme and how much they wish to play live.

Hmm...any idea which tracks on Le Parc, Optical Race and Lily On The Beach were written by which member? At least the sleeve from Lily doesn't say anything about this, only "all music written by Froese/Haslinger." The members and ex-members of TD have released plenty of solo works from wh...

I jusr asked Paul about this, and he said that all of the songs on US were written together, all three members. But Chris and Edgar didn't feel Paul had "earned" writer's credit at the time, that's why he is not credited. Paul did not mind at the time, he was just happy tp be in TD... So ...

Where on earth have you heard this?
From journalist Mark Jenkins who interviewed Haslinger.
