I never thought the day would come that I'd hold a new Peter Baumann album in my hands! And yet here it is, after something like 23 years. Having listened 5 or 6 times now, I think it's fair to say it's not quite up to the variety, beauty and quality of ROMANCE or NIGHTS, but it knocks the spots off...

First track is outstanding, and only wish there was more of that, and of Track 3, to hear where it's going.....

Personally I'm massively looking forward to the new album. Much as I miss Edgar, I think the line-up of Thorsten, Ulrich and Peter is a potentially outstanding one. I'm sure they'll retain the spirit, forge into new territory (like all the best TD albums did) and do both Edgar and themselves proud.

For 38 years Edgar & TD have been such a precious and constant touchstone in my life.

My thoughts and wishes go out to Jerome, Bianca, and all the band, both past and present.

Of the many TD 'retrospectives' and compilations I rate this as one of the best. Thorsten's re-working of LOGOS VELVET is worth the price alone, imo, along with Johannes' gorgeous PERGAMON SPHERE piano piece. Chuck in some very rare and good quality unreleased material, and frankly you can't go wrong.
