ARC - Blaze 8) 8) Really like all of ARC's stuff. It's about time they did another. Their last, Church, was top-notch. If you like Arc, Node or even Redshift in their darker moments you should check out "In Dust" by a Swedish duo called Roll The Dice, got it from my brother for my birthda...

Ok, for what it's worth, here are my views on last night's concert:- Nice venue but no more than half full, perhaps the football had an influence but this may put paid once and for all the notion that TD should venture outside of London - I can't see how the size of the audience could make the gig s...

Thanks for posting this - made me dig it out as I hadn't listened to PD for a while. I have to say this is my favourite TD album (and I do view it as an album despite it being labelled a cupdisc) since the mid 80s and it's got that sort of feel to it as well. I can just imagine holding the vinyl wit...

Quick question - are the tracks on Island of the Fay linked together like The Endless Season or entirely separate? If its the latter I might go for the download but otherwise I'll get a physical copy as there's nothing more annoying than gaps between tracks that aren't supposed to be there. The tra...

I'm not sure about TD doing their versions of classical music, never really works in my view, what I'd very interested in hearing though would be some of TDs music interpreted in a classical fashion. I recently went to see Brian Eno's Apollo played by the Icebreaker ensemble and it was stunning! I'v...

Fair points and perhaps that's why I'd have felt more comfortable with it under a different name. For me Any Tangerine Dream album has to stand comparison with the likes of Rubycon, Tangram, Logos etc, even Tyger and in my opinion this just doesn't cut the mustard. I don't like everything TD does bu...

Sorry this album is the epitome of bland, apart from the Model all of the tracks are done in exactly the same slow, soft focus style stripping all the life and vitality out of the originals If it didn't say Tangerine Dream on the cover it could have been anybody. As I said I know it was done for fun...

Having listened to this a few times and gone back and listened to the rest of series, it's easily my favourite (pipping Spring on the grounds of consistency).

Stronger melodies and a much more diverse selection of sounds make it a very pleasing listen - amongst their best in recent years.
