Hi, I bought this recently, but cannot answer your question with certainty. I had assumed it was a simple remastering but listening to it, I suspect it may have been "touched up" here and there, remixed and augmented with new sounds. But I could be wrong.

I'm also in love with this album. My favorite track has to be the title track, "Hyperborea" itself. My second favorite is "Cinnamon Road". As much as I love "Sphinx Lightning", it kinda drags a bit and you're right about the ending. I believe most of that weak element ...
