I have just downloaded this from the Bandcamp website.
I think it's a good track, and a nice, if bittersweet, surprise.

Re: Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream
The story behind the collaboration.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N93ju_saY7o&feature=youtu.be Very nice. Is it just my imagination or did Edgar mention JMJ in a not too positive way quite a few years ago? I remember that too. He also said some unpleasant things about Baumann in 1983 and l...

Re: Orange light years - remastered version
Hi, I bought this recently, but cannot answer your question with certainty. I had assumed it was a simple remastering but listening to it, I suspect it may have been "touched up" here and there, remixed and augmented with new sounds. But I could be wrong.

Re: Sphinx Lightning
I'm also in love with this album. My favorite track has to be the title track, "Hyperborea" itself. My second favorite is "Cinnamon Road". As much as I love "Sphinx Lightning", it kinda drags a bit and you're right about the ending. I believe most of that weak element ...

Apparently Zero Gravity will be included on Jarre's forthcoming album, so I was going to wait for that. The clip I heard on Youtube sounds great.

Re: Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream
:) was this done before Edgar passed away or has it been done since his passing? :) Good question, I was wondering about this. I hope it was done before Edgar passed away. I thought most people had this sorted out now. It is a collaboration. Did you not see the picture with Jarre and Froese? No, I ...

Re: Worst TD tracks
It's fascinating to read the varying opinions on these 90s albums. As others have noted, it's interesting how although we're all fans, some tracks/albums divide us. I can honestly say that Turn of the Tides and Tyranny of Beauty disappointed me when they came out. I really wanted to like these album...

Re: Worst TD tracks
The best result of the Froese-Haslinger tandem is Miracle Mile . If it had been released as a non-soundtrack album, it would be regarded as a classic on the level of Underwater Sunlight . For some reason, it doesn't get enough mention. When Jerome joined, something happened. I'm afraid the music wa...

Re: Worst TD tracks
:) I really like Lily on the Beach, Optical Race and Melrose but there are a few after that between 1991 and 1995 that I did not like so much. I am not saying I hated them but just didn't like them so much. Maybe it was too much of Jerome's influence, I don't know. It was not really until 1999 that...

Re: Worst TD tracks
I found that "Lily" lacked any "warm-sounding" lows. It was all highs and treble; Pretty much how I feel about Optical Race . Apart from "The Midnight Trail," the bass sounds lack punch, like they're overwhelmed by all the highs and mids. The entire album has a very &q...

Re: What do you think / wish: is this the end of TD?
I find Jerome's wording about Edgar's passing disrespectful. There is an air of self import about him, isn't there? Particularly when he makes note of (yet another) TD comp that focuses on his time in the band before he offers his opinion on "wannabe lineups." To me, there's nothing "...

Re: Big news from Peter Baumann
Can you imagine that i never read this post, except this morning !!! Wow, what a news.... At the same time, it is a little bit unreal. I am very surprise and very intricate to see how it will evolve. On the other hand, it feel a little like a bad episode of a Soap Opera TV show where a guy that you...
