Re: Views From A Red Train
The Lord of the flies reference was definitely a good catch! Reminded me of Cyclone's catch of the Struwwelpeter reference from the same album for the song Hunter Shot By a Yellow Rabbit.

Re: Near Dark
They put Shy People at 18th Hummm. Didn't see it myself. But it did get a 4 star review from Roger Ebert. Here's a quote from his review: “Shy People” is one of the great visionary films of recent years, a film that shakes off the petty distractions of safe Hollywood entertainments and develops a l...

Re: Near Dark
Co-incidence. My weekly "movie night " choice with my better half just came up and this week and I forced her to watch Near Dark! We are moving down in the IMDB popularity ratings. Each week the movies will get less highly rated and harder to watch. Here are IMDB ratings below: ... for pe...

So, r4man — has your disc arrived yet? Still waiting for mine... Nope. was just about to ask you. :!: I sent an email to Moonpop, and posted a query on the Loom FB page — still awaiting a response. On Friday I'm going to start a claim with PayPal. Update: I received an email from Moon...

Re: LOOM
Is anyone in the U.S. who ordered the CD on the first day of availability still awaiting delivery? I'm pretty sure I was one of the first fifty on the Moonpop page, but still no CD. :? I purchased from them because it was not yet for sale on the Viktoriapark web site. I haven't received mine either...

Re: GTA V
GTA V looks like a big hit in the game world and will probably sell millions of copies. Likely most of the gamers will have no knowledge of TD. If just a small percentage like the music enough to seek out TD this could be really big, maybe thousands of new fans!. I'm guessing that a soundtrack album...

Re: Your Top 10 TT recordings, the 'must have's!
Another "must have" in my opinion would be TTV 69, Paris 1986. Back in the days of the Tangerine Dream International Fan Club one of the Newsletters had an advertisement for a bootleg called Parisian Dreams. Since the TDIFC was an official publication I thought this was odd, but I took a c...

Copyright Law in USA
I just read this article in the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/11/arts/music/a-copyright-victory-35-years-later.html?_r=0&hp=&adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1378916217-jjC9DR42PvuT/ZK901aR8w Apparently a 1978 law granted artists "“termination rights,” allowing them to recover cont...

Re: Your Top 10 TT recordings, the 'must have's!
OK, Ill start things off with an obvious one. TTV 38, West Berlin 1987. Excellent recording, Chris Franke's last live performance as part of the band, great set selection, a chance to hear the actual version of the Republic Square portion of Live Miles.

Re: Edgar on Williams Shatner's prog-album.
A (very) long time ago, my father managed a men's health club in Los Angeles. Mr. Shatner was well known to me as Captain Kirk on the then current Star Trek. I was excited that he was a member of the health club and hoped to see him there. Finally he came in when I was there, but he came in without ...
