Movie Scores

Some of the unreleased material here is quite superb, and tantalising to think what might be out there. What great clips old and new.

Fassbinder in leopard print suit - hilarious !

Definition "Bombast" - pompous and grandiloquent l

"Good grief - why didn't he just post "I didn't like it" and save my time!" Will Hodgkinson's Times review talks about the lack of subtlety, "delicacy", an excess of surface atmospherics, "bombastic sound". All 'style over substance', with little poetry, or ar...

2nite

I logged onto TD's web late last night & was reminded they were on tonight. 24 hours later i'm counting my blessings I rushed home after work, had a nap, got to the RAH ticketless, put it on credit card, and although shamefully, shamefully, I missed Rubicon, the opener, this night was simply awe...

Autumn

... Its funny, after months of owning this cd, thinking that it was indeed rather meandering throughout, i've changed my mind - I guess I too was wanting something to "grab me" as well. "Strange Voices" incredibly short strange little gem of a track... "Novice" is a joy...

Excellent memory Sir! Thats exactly what happened & what a nice moment. Edgar took his bow of deference therefore, leaving lovely Linda at the keys.. the moment is etched into my memory, in the same way the girder I was sitting on for 3 hours is etched onto my arse...ouch! ;) HA HA! thats hilar...

Re: Thorsten, with Edgar twiddling the knobs

was that the one where LInda came out and joined him or was that a later gig?[/quote] I remember Edgar bowing to the audience with such deference after a lovely bit of improvisational tinkling, & how Tangram-like it seemed without actually being a recognised passage as such, what with the snow b...

Thorsten, with Edgar twiddling the knobs

In the tradition of the days of Johannes & Paul H., Thorsten, with Edgar twiddling the knobs. Though one memorable piano solo few people refer to was part II, Shepherds Bush '96 , Edgar solo piano accompanied by film projection of snow clad mountains. That was superb.

Would Johannes Schmoelling Ever Do A UK Concert For Us ?

Listening to clips of 'Early Beginnings'...

This music makes you stop in your tracks, & wonder... & wander... & wonder...

Why on earth they don't do another collaboration is beyond me, Edgar & Johannes, since they haven't gone into retirement exactly.

Tonights Concert

Fantastic shot of Ed - great to see, centre stage...I hope he got the noisy crowd treatment to get the best out of his performance.

Transport to Eindhoven

Anyone needing help getting to Eindhoven get in touch as i've arranged a lift from Hoek, following the overnight ferry which is most affordable.

Robin

PS. Are there any fans returning concert 'tickets' ?
