Re: Why did you stop posting in this forum?

Two reasons: 1. I lost interest in TD because reading Edgar's book made me dislike him. I won't go into the details, let's just say he was a different man that I imagined him to be (which is entirely my "problem", I'm aware of that, so please don't crucify me for being honest). I sold the ...

Re: Edgar and TD - the Force Majeure autobiography

If it's a book about TD, why is there an endless chapter about David Bowie in it? On the other hand, if it's a book about Edgar Froese - why do we learn almost nothing about Edgar Froese, the man, in the book? After having almost finished the book, I feel like projekt-elektronik: "Who is Edgar ...

Re: PREVIEW ON SOUNDCLOUD - "QUANTUM GATE" album by TD

Just listened to QG on apple music. I don't like the massive layered sound of the new TD. Everything ends up in a big mash, letting no air to breathe. Like on the Quaeschnig/Schnauss album and some of Schnauss' solo works. I like the album for its creativity, but I more or less agree with what you ...

Re: Edgar and TD - the Force Majeure autobiography

such a long time since ordering.....I would like to know: Page count Hardback? Colour plates? unpublished photos? etc etc  Had a dream it contains 50 pages of vegan muesli recipes in the appendix. Rest of the book dedicated to esoteric ramblings about the holy trinity VCO-VCF-VCA.

Re: ARTE TV MAKING DOCUMENTARY ON TD

Just one thing: Please focus on the band members and their personalities and not so much on the machines used and their blinkenlights, because this has already been covered over and over again. But for example, what do we really know about Edgar Froese, the man and what motivated him during all thos...

Re: Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream

The story behind the collaboration.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N93ju_saY7o&feature=youtu.be Very nice. Is it just my imagination or did Edgar mention JMJ in a not too positive way quite a few years ago? I remember that too. He also said some unpleasant things about Baumann in 1983 and l...

Re: Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream

The Vinyl Factory's website wants £16.15 for shipping to Germany on an £10 EP - so all in all £26.15. No thanks. That's obscene.

Re: Big news from Peter Baumann

Reality is a hologram, projected from synaptic responses, quantumly derived from god.head. This is true.. await the compact disc , download from the foundation  The creator has a master tape, but it can only be a fiendish plan of that old copycat, the demiurge, to make us suffer reality in...

Re: TD SHM 2015

Got my Rubycon SHM CD today and I agree it sounds more like the vinyl. I like it! Compared to the "Definite Edition", the new mastering sounds more spacious, has a bit more bass and lacks the (digital?) harshness of the Definite Edition in its higher frequencies. All in all to me the 2015 ...

Re: Big news from Peter Baumann

Does ANYONE understand what Baumann is talking about here? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qscTELI8Fio My take: Without Edgar Froese (or Baumann, in this case) being a seeker, he probably wouldn't have composed a single tone in his life. Seeking answers, questioning reality, whatever you want to ca...

Re: Big news from Peter Baumann

Good news coupled with incredibly sad circumstances... I mean Baumann's message reads as if Edgar and him negotiated about Baumann re-joining the band after 38 years. And then some days later Edgar dies. Hard to imagine that situation, and I probably don't want to. All I know is that when Peter Baum...

Re: Big news from Peter Baumann

Wow, THAT is a surprise - Baumann! Let the speculations begin what it could be ... if it's something not yet finished, we know Baumann could do it all if he just wants to. He knows how to mix, produce and play, and most importantly Edgar & Peter shared the same wavelength.

Could be it was kind of a test run? Who knows...
I haven't read the book yet, maybe there are more TD easter eggs in there.
