For me it would have to be, well, many, but in particular, "Valley of the Sun" from disc 5 of the Dream Roots collection and "Dolphin dance" from the West Berlin celebration in '87 in Republic Sq. This part did not make it on Live Miles. Also Mae's theme/Bus Station from the much...

As you can tell by my screen name....

.....Tangram is quite near and dear to my heart!! It was the very first TD album that I ever purchased, back in '82, quickly followed by Phaedra, which had been "updated" a couple of years back. Anyway, I do like the new version, but I was legitimately fearful of it. Why mess with such a c...

Get ready to laugh, but......

......I seem to remember that in a reply to that question in the FIRST TD sponsored International Fan Club, the answer to that question was that the voice was none other than.......wait for it......Jerome Froese!!! Lest we all remember, that recording was 20(!!!!) years ago!!!! He was a lot younger ...

My two cents on this topic

I really like this disc a lot!!! IMHO, very strong all 'round. I really don't mind any of the Miramar years at all. Canyon Dreams is really strong and the first two tracks on Rockoon along with a couple of other tracks from that disc are really good as well. TOTT took a l'il getting used to but, I s...

MFD

Got mine yesterday. I had the MFP disc so I knew what to expect. I have gotten through most of the disc and really like it a lot. There are some really great sounds on it, which bodes well for when Edgar and crew decide to, once again, make an instrumental record. SPN is really good as well which al...

I did see this film back in the late 80's. It was quite a weird film with a familiar future/corporations take over everything kinda picture. I too had rented it for the phenomenal sountrack by Edgar. I would be interested in owning it, but would need the subtitles since I am studying French and not ...

Pardon is this has already been discussed in this thread....

I was disappointed that the reissue of Edgar's "Pinnacles" did not have the completed title track. I was looking forward to hearing that last 8 mins. or so, which I really like a lot better than the beginning of that track. Although I do like it in it's entirety, don't get me wrong. Anyway...

Hey all, I'm back!! I hope that I was not missed too terribly!! I used to post under the username: Opeth04, but was unable to come into this new forum with this info., so I reregistered with a more TD oriented ID!!. Anyway.... Tangram music on Detroit '77, probably not. Johannes Schmoelling had not ...
