Legend indeed. Still remember watching that grainy black and white TV image when he stepped onto the moon back in 1969. Only later realising what a major achievement that was and what brave men they were.

Missed the whole darned thing. was in a pub down in Devon, eating and drinking too much. Have to say that everyone I've spoken to has said that they loved it, even the most cynical of people have been saying they wanted to hate it but couldn't. Kind of wish I'd made the effort now.

...been away for a week so this has come as a nice surprise on my return. Thanks for the advanced warning EB, it gives me some time to get the funds together.

You can get The Soldier on DVD for quite a reasonable price, I did a few years back. Not my favourite film, mind you, but it is quite unintentionally comical.
