Re: Tangerine Dream Metropolis OST on EBAY

The track times on that CD cover add up to nearly 90 minutes of music, but the ebay listing doesn't say anything about it being 2 discs. The possibility of it being actually PPM's Metropolis Poetry does seem to be the most likely, but whoever made it must have padded it out with additional music fro...

Re: What do you think / wish: is this the end of TD?

Since 1967, Tangerine Dream has been Edgar Froese plus whoever he's choosing to work with at the time. A band that hasn't got Edgar Froese in it is, by definition, not Tangerine Dream. I agree with this mostly (along with the similar comment that sorcerer made above), but the only trio I would acce...

Re: Comments from Edgar's friends and colleagues

I don't know who this Dean De Benedictis is (two posts above), but it hurts to read his words. He did a cover version of "Exit" on Tangerine Ambience . He also did the cover of Phaedra from the same CD, performing as Surface 10 Thanks. I thought he did another track on one of the two CDs,...

Re: The News About Edgar

It's a rare thing when music comes along that makes you feel like this music was made just for you. It speaks to you, in the personal language of your own consciousness. It's as if someone somehow knew what would be the ideal music for your brain and created it for you, even though you might not hav...

Re: Sorcerer 2014

It's a pity that they put the original version of "Rain Forest" on Booster VI, otherwise, they might have done a "Rain Forest 2015" for Booster VII to add to the Sorcerer reworkings. Maybe on the next compilation, whatever that might happen to be . . .

Re: Any suggestions for Under Cover Chapter 2?

When ELP released their album "Works," one reviewer noted that it was, as he put it, "somewhat threateningly subtitled Volume One." I feel the same way about Under Cover being subtitled Chapter One.

Tamago Yaki 2015 could be interesting. My favorite track from Kyoto.

I just noticed his name in the credits while watching episode 3 last night. One of those "Oh, Hey!" moments.

Re: Sorcerer 2014

I'm in love with this recording. The reworkings are some of the best they've done, and the "new" material is a pleasure. I love how "In the Mist of Night" incorporates elements of "Main Title" since that track wasn't made part of the reworkings. I have a hard time belie...

Re: Tangerine Ambience I + II

I finally took the next completist step and bought Tangerine Ambience (Vol. I). Expectations were quite low, but so far I find it a decent listen; putting new Music to the bent cold sidewalk vocal is at least an interesting idea and I also like the Bonus tracks, in particular Horizon by Augenstern....

I'm surprised to see Rick Wakeman working with Billy Sherwood. I was under the impression that Wakeman couldn't stand Sherwood.

Keep in mind that stopping touring =/= stopping recording. They will likely continue to produce great music for years to come.
