Re: Big news from Peter Baumann

So, any news on Mr Franke ? Could he pick up the torch again ? Has he said anything about Edgar's pasing ? I can't find anything on him that is recent.

Re: Big news from Peter Baumann

If this is true I really hope PB injects a new direction similar to the wonderful organically analogue era. For me, TD has become a bit like Shawaddywaddy with so many members. All we need is Chris Franke and Johannes and we are nearly all there. BTW - Why has CF been so quiet for years ? I am sure ...

Re: rest in peace Edgar

This morning I felt an urge to listen to the 1986 Bootmoon concert on my mp3 play while in bed. I was remembering that amazing life changing experience of seeing them live in Manchester the same year. I was thinking about Edgar and other members while listening. It was only later that a friend of Fa...

Re: Danny Baker Just plugged TD and Ricochet

When Danny Baker was interviewing Brian Cox last week he played pretty much all of Pheadra in the background :-)

Re: Danny Baker Just plugged TD and Ricochet

Ricochet has a more organic feel that doesn't date. Logos and Poland are more clinical and digital sounding as fantastic as they are. I would say the latter are more minimal. I Love Logos part one, absolutley love it but part two I hardly listen to because it seems weaker with more mainstream melodi...

Re: Danny Baker Just plugged TD and Ricochet

Danny Baker is very well read when it comes to music. As is Stuart Maconie also. If you listen to Desert Island Disks Danny Baker episode he mentions TD again very briefly. I like listening to him as he is always trying to champion the more underground music, sometimes at the cost of losing past bro...

Danny Baker Just plugged TD and Ricochet

Listening to the Danny Baker show live at the moment and he has just mentioned TD in the context of reading out listener anecdotes. He then said if anyone is thinking of getting into TD for the first time they should try Ricochet and they will realise that they haven't lived until they have heard it...

Sphinx Lightning

I am just loving listening to this hypnotic track of late. When I have my afternoon snooze it seems to take me off very quickly, and I don't mean because it's boring. It isn't. I love it's minimalism and sparse textures, rhythms. The only niggle for me is at 16:42 when that theme comes in over those...

I find the Chris Franke era their best. The music in the last 20 odd years for me is not my cup of tea. The days when you went to hear a concert like Logos and had an otherworldy experience are sadly gone in this music software age.

I think the music played was good. Anything in the last 10 or even 20 years would have been just wrong IMO. I really love those early albums. So organic and evolving. Perhaps something from Force Majeure or Exit would have been a good choice also.

Edgar interviewed on 6 music - Stuart Maconie Freak Zone

I love this show and who better to interview the great man than Stu Maconie;

Sorry mate. Nothing doing. I've been busy making sound FX to pay the bills. I hope to get into it again soon. haven't been inspired for a long time. I did do one track "Final Flight" inspired by the R101 Airship which has been put to old footage. Quite a few people are asking where to get ...

I give up. Can't find any audio previews anywhere. Very rare.
