Re: KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN LIVE NOW - TD DOCUMENTARY

I am incredibly excited about this! I'll have to wait a bit later this month to determine how much I can pledge but I will definitely be doing so and spreading the word so others can as well. "Retro" Electronic music has entered a new golden age so I can only hope there will be many, many ...

Re: Music I just bought ;)

Been enjoying this very analog, 70's-esque tribute to TD track by my brother (who's normally producing prog house or more beat-driven synth music):

Re: Music

Been on a bit of a "Synthwave" kick lately. Enjoying the retro rebirth of the 80's. :) Favorite stuff so far is Amplifer by Lost Years. Been trying to figure out who's behind it...anyway, link: https://rossocorsarecords.bandcamp.com/album/amplifier I've been listening to these also.... RE...

Re: first album of the 'Quantum Years' - Next Released !!

I am SO looking forward to this. Mala Kunia was a fantastic release, some of my favorite TD work in quite a while (and that's saying a lot considering most TD releases over the past few years have been stellar). I thought Ulrich's contribution to the overall vibe truly outstanding. One interesting t...

Re: The News About Edgar

Finally had the time to work on this: my ode to the man himself, Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream. Talking about how I first encountered TD and including some YouTube clips of some of my favorite pieces over the decades. http://echoes.jaredwhite.com/farewell-to-electronic-music-pioneer-edgar-froese/ ...

Re: The News About Edgar

I totally agree, David. I even guess that many of us feel this way... Edgar had "something more", maybe because he seemed to be an absolute "servant of music" (as he said). I've thought about this too. Perhaps one factor is the sheer volume of music he and his bandmates put out ...

The News About Edgar

I just saw the news on the TD homepage.

Very sad. :(

Really top-drawer selection. I was at the concert in L.A. so it's awesome to hear Cloudburst Flight 2008 again from their live show -- sounds like the UK version was on a roll! Peddington at Five is a gem I hadn't heard before, and I forgot all about Going West -- that was another great song from th...

I'm bucking the trend -- I voted for EF/JF. Not because I think that was the best lineup per se, but because I think Jerome's work in the mid 90's through the early 2000's under the TD label is some of the best EM around. I became a TD fan a decade ago largely because of the quality of their recent ...

I don't have Vol.1, only Vol.2. I agree most of it is pretty drab, but I like a few tracks -- most notably Midas Touch. I'd really like to hear a good remix of that one.

So am I correct in saying that there is no NTSC version of the Tempodrome DVD? Anyone know of an easy/inexpensive way of playing the PAL disc here in the U.S.? (Computer solutions are fine...)
