Re: Union Chapel, London - 23 April 2018

Ant ..... perhaps we were seated in the wrong place ie 2nd row in from the stage slightly to the left so we were getting most of the sound from the left hand speaker .....I know their music inside out and still struggled to make out a lot of the tracks ....I recall the Stratosfear track was pretty g...

Re: Union Chapel, London - 23 April 2018

Went last night with my daughter and missus. We were seated 2nd row from the front - probably a big mistake! Sound was muddy thoughout and as an ardent fan ...I could barely make out the rendition of previous tracks were being played ...realised 2/3rd of the way through what turned out to be 'Love o...

Re: Then there's this EB? TD @ UK Butlins December 2017?

Tangerine Dream don't realise that Butlins is a of a laughing stock with the general public and not to be associated with 'class acts' ....only acts who are no longer fresh but those trying to re-live past glories! Will not do ANYTHING for their image!

Re: QUANTUM KEY ep

More listens ....and WOW! TD are in real form. They have progressed and again have suprised me with their innovative ideas! Undoubtedly, their will be the usual dissenters longing for Chris Franke to come back and make 'real TD music' again - but to me, this is TODAY'S music !

Re: QUANTUM KEY ep

Listened to this 3 times so far ...and it hasn't grabbed me yet .... but reading all the other comments on here gives me hope and so I will have to give it more listens and hope it takes off like it has for others. Incidentally, watching an interview with EF, CF and JS back in 1982 - Edgar quite cle...

Film 'The Keep'.....in high quality!

A bit of info for you all: I have only ever seen poor quality versions of this film when aired on tv - but watched it on Netflix last night - the quality was the BEST I have ever seen! Even the soundtrack quality had been enhanced. Has a '80's' feel about it now that we live in a world of CGI and sp...

Re: Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream

Does anyone know if the dvd's selling on Ebay are genuine?? I am reluctant to buy a copy for obvious reasons - I think the artist should get their just desserts - but I saw 'One Night in Space' for £3.99 - Epsilon Journey' same price (or cheaper) however, the cover is ever so slightly different in t...

Re: NEW EDGAR FROESE TRIBUTE ALBUM

All this nattering ref the Jenkins duo's album - I came across an ad on Discogs.com site for the album selling at a horrendous Euro's 30 !!! A tad over the top for a cd-R methinks! Had a listen to the You-tube link and have to say it's not half bad - they seem to have captured the style / sound of E...

Re: NEW EDGAR FROESE TRIBUTE ALBUM

>>On the other hand, Mark Jenkins at least knew Edgar personally - TD was supposed to sign to Jenkins' AMP Records in the mid 90s. For some reason, it never happened. <<

was there ever any musical collaboration between them?? I'd be interested in the tribute album if there was.

Re: NEW EDGAR FROESE TRIBUTE ALBUM

Each to their own - but as I don't like watching any tribute band - including the multiple Pink Floyd ones - I won't be rushing out to watch any Edgar tribute shows or buying any albums. I just find it a bit distasteful coming out so soon after Edgars passing as it does smack of opportunism. I prefe...

Re: Jerome

On re-reading Jerome's statement - you guys could well be right and as such he may well not have any rights over the TD name after all. Ah well ...'Beyond the Dream' can be binned then as a name :-)

Re: Jerome

Jerome was quite categoric in his statement that their will be no concerts with the name TD. I imagine he therefore has full control over the name and any new band with the other members will have to re-name themselves. How about 'Dream on' ?? Sure you all have suggestions.
