I remember it well because Klaus Kreiger let me have a play on his drum kit at the end of the show. I was a bit timid to really give it a bash as the roadies were dismantling the rest of the gear.

I spoke to Zen at the weekend and I suggested RAH '75, which he hasn't heard, but he felt might be too long (it's only a few minutes longer than the combined total of the 3 albums played at the last event). He said he really wants to stick to the studio albums. 'Atem' seems his prefered choice (whic...

of course there have been rumours that at least part of Logos was-n't even recorded at the Dominion...but at a gig in Germany having studied carefully, my LP and CD against the various trees and leaves, I once again point to a famous saying : ' all rumours have basis in fact ' :P  The evidenc...

I agree with sequenceC - for a candlelit church, Royal Albert Hall '75 would be the most suitable recording to listen to if another TD evening takes place. But I fear that because RAH '75 not that well known to the general public it might be overlooked. If so, it will be a pity - the second piece is...

Good to see that Last.fm has yesterday announced that they will resume full length track play from "unsigned artists who hold global rights to their music" from about the 3rd week in May. The downside is they regard this as 'promotion', so plays won't accrue royalties, yet 30 second excerp...

As an independent artist who has spent time preparing specific full tracks for Last.fm my initial reaction to this change is not favourable. Sure, the Radio Station setting still streams full tracks, but you can't choose what you listen to and I've noticed that the same tracks automatically keep bei...

It was a nice event. I agree with the previous posts that it was not loud enough and I was expecting the sound system to be better than it was. There was distortion from one of the speakers in a couple of places. I also thought the speakers needed to be wider apart and nearer the listeners. I was si...

I'd like to know more about the damage to equipment on the Australian '75 tour and the effect it had on the performances, rhythm wise. I've read that Franke's modular system was transported upside down which damaged it. Also, did Michael play the Munich gig in April '75 or did it mark the return of ...

It wasn't in Michael's hands. He was ejected when Edgar and Chris thought it better to give Peter another chance.

I like your piece Ian. Better standard than the average synth noodling I've come across of late.

UK 1980: 2/11/80 (Newcastle) to 15/11/80 (Liverpool)
Is this the best (and only) site for a TD live chronology?

It’s a stunning album and remarkable in that they got it into the shops barely a month after the October 1975 tour had finished - no doubt under pressure from Virgin for the Christmas market. They must have worked night and day to edit, mix and fade together the 40 hours or so of raw material. The o...
