In a lot of occasions the vinyl wins. :) Wins in what? Covering up the sonic problems of the studio tapes? The better the original source material is, the better CD does compared to vinyl. Modern classical music recordings are often very good in sound quality. No wonder vinyl is not that popular am...

Vinyl is still the overall best for most TD albums. Perhaps so but I don't own a turntable. I am an electric engineer and I have been educated in university that CD is technically superior to vinyl. People like vinyl because they have a "nostalgic" bond to it's distortions but from techni...

My copy of Underwater Sunlight is a 2003 Sanctuary (06076-81297-2) release. Don't know about the hardness of sound since I haven't heard any other version. Sounds good imo.

I'd like to see Out-Of-Print CDs re-released instead of these easily found items.

How about Legend re-release?

Just checking some of my itunes stuff there and.................. Edgar Froese - Aqua Lightwave - Nachtmusic Both classified as "New Age" which is bizarre in the extreme. Also see Budd/Eno -Pearl listed as new age and other Harold Budd albums. I would not classify them as such :?: Edgar F...

New Age is one of the most ignored music genres I know. The genre is very broad and contain all kind of music from whale songs and panpipes to sinister "space symphonies" and world music. In my opinion Tangerine Dream is not that far from New Age (super new age?). Many years ago I bought a...

We Finns are also shocked and saddened by these horrible events in Oslo. We have suffered similar mad massacres in the form of school killings in the recent years but nothing of this scale.

MFD 2? Tangerine Glee? I have heard this CD three times now. I think the most successful tracks are Suzanne and Hallelujah , both originally by Leonard Cohen . I don't really know his stuff and checked it out in Spotify. The original versions sound austere compared to TD's take of them! Tangerine D...
