Someone mentioned meeting somewhere at Nijmegen? It is the smallest place of the 2014 tour I believe. Could we use this thread to plan a spot to meet?

The closest pub to the concert and highest rated spot in Nijmegen is I can't belive it an Irish pub - The Shamrock Smetiusstraat 17, Nijmegen 6511ER

Good for Ireland that people in Europe seem to want to replace their own culture with theirs. From here in Canada this seems so amazing and so bizarre - but, whatever I can drink Guinness instead of Heineken, Amstel, and Grolsch.

The problem with Irish bars is that the very best are where they belong - Ireland

All others are just empty fakes.....

In my opinion too small.
Am looking for another fanmeeting location.

Concerning the Irish Pub, It has something to do with hospitality. The English and Irish are in fanmeets in number the most present nationality.
That's why the prefer for a Irish Pub.

People want to get this set. It doesn't look like a huge group so lets go with the "irish" pub unless a better plan is about.

@all fans visiting the Nijmegen gig
Did visit more than a week ago the venue for the Nijmegen gig.

My suggestion for fanmeet is next :

In case of sunshine, nice and warm weather, on 5 minutes walk there is the Molenstraat.
A lot of bars, reataurants with outside opportunities to drink, eat something.

In case of cold, rainy weather there is a nice Pizzeria, looks very nice inside, I've been there.
Inside there is a separate room for meeting fans, I talked to a waitress. (have to confirm this will be THE place for the fanmeet)
You can also sit outside, but it's near the street with passing cars.

If you are interested in a fanmeet at Romagna Pizzeria, just write me a PM via this forum.
My proposal : fanmeet starts at around 16:00, Pizzeria Romagna, or bars/restaurants Molenstraat, depending on weather situation.
Just look for some TD-shirts

If you like to visit some historic places (Karel de Grote) just visit the Valkhof Park.
On top you have a nice view over the river Waal.
There are a lot of nice shops, all on a square km, so no time to get bored if you are early on May 24th.

It was very nice to meet other fans, and not just casual ones. I know no followers within 1000 km of where I live. I will never forget it that day drinking beer in the square. In fact it that day would have been worth going to Europe for just in itself.
