Jerome's new EP

Post by 24db »

Has anybody heard the new CDR EP from Jerome? (precooked Munchies) I hear references to Sergei Prokofiev’s “Troika” (from the Lt Kije Suite) and the Who's "Pinball Wizard". Great stuff, especially tracks 1 and 4

Does anybody know what TD track Jerome has sampled or re-created on Sea Miles?

Got mine yesterday - comes without a jewel case only in a light plastic covering. No cover.

It is also only a CDR - not a factory pressed CD !!!

But I like the music stuff on it.

- The first both tracks from the forthcoming album: "Shiver me timbers" - are really good. Specially: "Mrs. Miss Kitty"

- "Sea miles" - needs a little bit time to groove it - but then ...

- "Joy and sorrow" - very good

- The TD Track - what can I say - one of the best live tracks from the 1997 Tour

All in all - Jerome makes many with guitars in all variations and it makes curios of the forthcoming album.

Recieved my copy today ...It bids well for the coming release. I like track 1,2 , 3,4,& 5 over all a great teaser for shiver me Timbers. Firstr track we all know . track 2 Has a mystic feel to it again great guitar ,Melodic & rythmic. Track 3 hits you with its great drum line It starts of with a nice sequencebuilding up with unusual FX soundscapes...It has that great dream mix feel to it ...again the bell like soundscape finds its way through but not as obivious as in mellow morning...then builds up into powerful guitar riffs...one of my favourites.

Track 4 Mellow intro with an ethnic feel to it reminds me of indian influences its a slower track to get started the drumline is more tight....again when it gets going it has a very catchy melody type sequencing in it I do like this quite a bit it also has a more acoustic air to it mixed with a lot of Fx sound effects in it then the Guitar gets more wailing to give that heavier rock feel to it.

Track 5 well what can I say a great live track from 1997 tour with a lot of Jeromes influences to it....

This is well worth the great effort Jerome has put into it & a great bridge till the Full release hits our doorsteps..

ENJOY..... Geoff :D :) 8)

I ordered mine on Saturday, as I want to get a feel for SMT before taking the plunge. I've had 4 emails already, tracking the order. Very good service!
