can anyone point me to a location of recording of the mellotron demo TD possibly did at the audio fair at olympia in 75.....Im sure a dodgy recording exists....I think I had one but cant locate it at all and wish to add to my archive

That's track called "Here comes the loop" and is number 10 on disc 1 of TT71: Adventures in Lo-Fi.

Just heard that for the first time...never send me discs, it takes me ages to get round to listen to them..

TANGERINE Dream, Van Der Graaf Generator and Dave Edmunds are among the artists who will be making live appearances at the 1975 Audio Fair at London's Olympia between October 20 and 26. Tangerine Dream will take a break from their current British tour to perform at Olympia on October 22. They will involve the audience in creating a new work using a Moog and other synthesisers. The same night Pete Atkin and Clive James appear, followed by the folk band the Yetties on October 24, Dave Edmunds (October 25) and Van Der Graaf Generator and Typically Tropical on October 26. In addition the fair will feature, an the last day, the first public airing of Mike Oldfield's forthcoming album "Ommadawn", immediately preceded by a hearing of the first demo tapes made for "Tubular Bells". All these events will take place in a specially constructed £150,000 sound -theatre and studio, equipped with some of the most advanced technology available.

oh yes....I remember this pic...thanks for posting it again andy.....



I wonder if Peter's clogs will be the vintage item on TDOC or mebbe Edgar's waistcoat (with fag ash accessories)

another news snippet:

Back at Computer Central: German group Tangerine Dream (who play in maximum darkness) gave a quick demonstration of their side-splitting review at last week's Audio Fair. They were presented with a cake decorated by tangerine wedges.

Encore: And the next night T. Dream ended their tour with a FAB, GEAR and very GROOVY, though very DARK concert, while afterwards exploring 'The Popstar's Guide to Destruction'
