no thanks ;) You're right. We wouldn't want anyone known for electronic music involved in TD. What was I thinking? I think it helps if you read HJR's comments on this: Because of unbridgeable difficulties with the entourage of Moebius I've decided to give up to work with him in "Cluster" ...

I simply cannot bring myself to maintain the cognitive dissonance of the two concepts "favorite TD track" and "TD track with sax."

Apart from the pronoucation of Thames I haven't got a problem with Tyger at all. There's some fantastic music on it. That irks me every time I hear it, and I'm not even British! You'd think that would have gotten corrected in rehearsals or at least they could have done a retake. Somewhere I still h...

I think all of the best sequencer riffs are found on Sorcerer (but then I would, wouldn't I). For me it's a toss-up among: Betrayal (definitive TD sequencing) Grind (stunning, gripping, driving sequence) Impressions of Sorcerer (the one and only example of TD doing reggae! Da mighty dread Dream Boys...

If someone told me that I could have only one TD album for the rest of my life, it would be Sorcerer , because I couldn't live without it. Even Encore and Stratosfear have a few weaker moments, but for me, Sorcerer is pure, top-quality, definitive TD at their peak, from the first moment to the last.

Another curiosity. The FM-recording of this (complete with announcer, which makes it authentic) is totally different to the Tree-version (which has no announcer). But both are great TD-recordings with great music, like Zeit/Atem I listened to both of these back-to-back, but it's difficult to make a...

I'm looking forward to Electronic Meditation 2010, myself. Just imagine! :o

That could prove to be a very prophetic list. Everything on it does fit their pattern. Shame that TD has become so predictable.

Should it be officially expunged from the Tree, then? (for a loose definition of 'official'). Is there any way to positively ID this thing? Could it have been Ash Ra Tempel, rather than TD? It sounds a bit like them.

I had started buying individual tracks from the BBes from emusic.com, but sadly, they didn't make all of the tracks available. On the other hand, what was great was that tracks like Sheffield, which runs about 45 minutes, was priced the same as a 3-minute single: US$0.99.!

Judging from the some of the posts here, it seems that many people put a lot to effort into collecting the recordings, but very little time into actually listening to them. That said, I've had my collection laid out on a table for the past few weeks and have been revisiting a lot of them. I like to ...

After I listened to Magnification, I said, "That's it. I'm done. That's my last Yes album." Of course, I said that about TD after buying Tyranny of Beauty and seeing that the next one was called Goblin's Club . . .
