Dekmantel Festival Live Webcast
Did anyone catch the excellent live webcast last night? TD on fine form again, with really nice new versions of Yellowstone Park and Tangram Set 1 played. Webcast was nice and stable too with great audio. It might still be available to watch on youtube if you missed it. Well worth a watch.

Re: Union Chapel, London - 23 April 2018
Superb performance from TD at the Union Chapel last night. A few of the older reworks didn't quite work for me (Kiew Mission, Dolphin Dance), wheras some others sounded brilliant (White Eagle, Horizon), but overall it was a memorable show. The long improvised session was also a highlight as it reall...

Union Chapel, London - 23 April 2018
TD make a very welcome return to UK shores in April, playing at the beautiful Union Chapel. I've seen shows there before, and it's hard to imagine a more suitable venue for the new TD sound. I;ve just bought tickets, so am really looking forward to a memorable evening.

Re: A message from Thorsten Quaeschning
Many thanks to Thorsten for this encouraging update. I'm pleased to learn there are many plans for the future of TD, and judging by the quality of the Quantum Gate EP, I think it's a really exciting time to be a fan of the band. Really looking forward to future music and concerts.

Oedipus Tyrannus unreleased version?
We're all famiiar with the 3 tracks that TD did for Oedipus Tyrannus at Chichester 1974; Overture, Zeus and Baroque, the best quality versions of which seem to have been released in the Tree project, TT46. But it wasn't until recently that I learned that TD rejected their first versions of the track...

Re: The state of things
I have to agree with Projekt Electonic here...unless it's for a new band who don't have the finances available, I don't agree with fans funding the products of long-established bands like TD months or even years before they are ready. If a production company can't fund a simple documentary themselve...

Re: "I DREAM OF WIRES"
The comprehensiveness of any documentary is largely dependent on who you are able to agree to appear in it. I doubt you'll ever get Kraftwerk to appear in a documentary like this, but it can't be said to be definitive without any mention of 4 or 5 of the great names in the field. It's like a documen...

Re: The state of things
This is the exact reason I won't pay for a product many months in advance of it actually being completed. There's always delays and complications, and some people will undoubtably end up feeling fleeced and that they'll never see their money again. Edgar's passing has naturally caused an understandb...

Re: AN INSANE AMOUNT OF EGO vs. CODENAME: THE SOLDIER
Unfortunately, the director has pretty much no say if a soundtrack (or score to give it it's proper name) is released or not. Unless you're someone like John Carpenter and you also wrote the score.

Re: Worst TD tracks
I wouldn't say I hate any TD music, but there's plenty of tracks that don't do a thing for me, so I simply don't listen to them often. I'll try them again once in a while to see if my opinion has changed, but it rarely does! But TD have released so many albums down the years that it's inevitable tha...

Re: ARTE TV MAKING DOCUMENTARY ON TD
It's great that at long last someone is making a documentary about TD. It seems amazing that apart from Signale aus der Schwäbischen Strasse, no one has seen to make a documentary about a band with such a rich, lengthy, important and fascinating history. Really looking forward to it. But it seems re...

Re: What do you think / wish: is this the end of TD?
I feel that some of us are missing part of the entire philosophy of TD's musical output. And this is something I heard Edgar say several times in interviews....that the music TD produce at any one time is a direct result/combination of the creative minds in the band at that moment. Band members will...

Re: New Gigs in 2016
As much as I like his music and totally respect his massive contribution to TD's past, I'm happy for Jerome not to be a part of TD's future. TD must continue to move forward, to develop and remain organic. I've always been mystified by other fans' wishes for past members to re-join. Doing this doesn...

Re: ARTE TV MAKING DOCUMENTARY ON TD
Most decent music documentaries seem to have a duration of around an hour to fit in with TV schedules, like the recent Kraftwerk one on BBC4. You can fit a lot of content in an hour, but to adequately cover a band who have been around for 40 years and have such a rich story to tell, the documentary ...
